Getting Started
Not at all — you’re welcome to reach out anytime. We make it easy for families to schedule an evaluation directly with us.
We work with children and teens from birth through age 18, supporting families through every stage of development.
Simply visit our Schedule Your Visit page — it takes just a few minutes and we’ll reach out to coordinate the details that work best for your family.
We begin with a $79 consultation — a relaxed, no-pressure visit where you’ll meet with a licensed therapist, discuss your concerns, and explore next steps.
Many clinics require a full evaluation before they’ll even meet your child — often costing $250–$700. At Rooted, we believe in starting with a conversation first.
Since we’re a private-pay clinic, you have the flexibility to decide what level of assessment works best for your family. If a full evaluation makes sense later, we’ll walk you through that decision together — but you’ll never be pushed into it.
Services & Sessions
We provide speech therapy, feeding therapy, and lactation counseling — all thoughtfully designed to support your child’s unique needs in one welcoming space.
We welcome and encourage family involvement. We’ll work together to determine what feels most supportive and effective for your child’s progress.
Sessions typically last 30–45 minutes, though we adjust the timing based on your child’s attention span and therapeutic goals.
Insurance & Payment
We are a private-pay clinic, which means we don’t bill insurance directly — but we do provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
Every plan is different. Some insurers will reimburse after a few sessions, while others may require a formal evaluation before they’ll approve anything. If you plan to use your superbill, just let us know — we’ll help you understand what your plan needs and provide any documentation required.
We operate on a session-by-session payment model. Payment is due at the time of service, and we accept cash, check, or card. We provide superbills for potential insurance reimbursement.
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows do incur a fee, though we always consider extenuating circumstances and work with families when unexpected situations arise.
Preparing for the First Visit
Please bring any previous evaluations, completed intake forms, and referral paperwork if you have them. Don’t worry if you’re missing something — we’ll work with what you have.
No — we start with a consultation to get to know your child and determine if we’re the right fit for your family. If we move forward together, we’ll discuss next steps based on your child’s specific needs and your family’s goals.
Keep it simple and positive: “We’re going to meet someone who helps kids learn and play in fun new ways!” The less pressure, the better — we’ll take care of making them feel comfortable.
